We’re staying in for Valentine’s Day, and this year, we’re not so concerned with dessert. In light of a seemingly ever-present polar vortex, we’re more focused on decadent, savory, stick-to-your ribs dinner recipes. These five blog posts offer up delicious inspiration for romantic Valentine’s Day dinners for two.

Lady and Pups

These Caramel Soy Sauce Sticky Ribs from Lady and Pups are perfect for a well-seasoned, let’s dig in kind of relationship, and perhaps less ideal for a couple’s first Valentine’s Day. But seriously, just get a load of these babies.

Pinch of Yum

In the Garlic Butter Shrimp and Quinoa from Pinch of Yum, plump sauteed shrimp lend richness to a bed of whole grains. The generous pour of melted butter may have something to do with it, too.

How Sweet Eats

This recipe for Portobello Mushroom and Leek Carbonara from How Sweet Eats falls into the oldie-but-goodie category—one we’ve been enjoying (and occasionally drooling over in our free time) since 2012.

Local Kitchen

Slow Roasted Chipotle Beef from Local Kitchen has us smitten with the idea of a done-just-right piece of meat, thinly sliced and arranged picture-perfect on a Valentine’s Day table. That, and the idea of enjoying post-Valentine’s bliss for many meals to come, courtesy of the “Leftover Loves” suggestions that accompany the recipe.
