The Shiksa in the Kitchen is our first to mess with Hanukkah tradition, by replacing matzoh meal with panko.  But even if your holiday is just like your grandparents’ in every other respect, it’s awful hard to argue with extra-crispy: Crispy Panko Potato Latkes

Latkes aren’t the only Hanukkah option.  There are also traditional jelly doughnuts called sufganiyot.  And, although there’s not an obvious connection between the two, they’re both related to Hanukkah because they’re fried in oil – oil being the menorah fuel central to the story.  Last year, Two Lazy Gourmets posted their Easy Homemade Sufganiyot, and we still love them.
